 Features & Benefits

  • I will provide well balanced and nutritious meals and snacks

  • I will maintain an Infant/Child CPR and First-aid Certificate at all times.

  • I will implement fire and tornado drills monthly for the safety of the children.

  • I will lock up all medication, cleaners and other items dangerous to children at all times.

  • I will keep your family’s information confidential.

  • I will keep you informed of your child’s daily routine by providing daily journal entries as well as providing you with any letters, memos, reminders etc.

  • I will inform you in advance if I am temporarily unable to provide child care because of illness or emergency. I recommend that parent’s have their own child care back-up.

  • I will notify you if your child becomes ill during the day. I will ask you to come and pick up your child as soon as possible, in the event your child becomes ill in care.

  • I also reserve the right to refuse care for a child that is obviously ill for the protection of other children in my home, my family, and myself.

  • I will notify you immediately if your child has come in contact with any communicable disease or illness.

  • Scratches and scrapes are inevitable when children play or learn to walk. Minor accidents will be treated with antiseptic and a band-aid or ice and lots of TLC!

  • For anything more serious you will be notified immediately.

  • In case of an emergency situation, 911 will be contacted first; you will then be contacted and told of the emergency so you will be able to meet your child at the hospital.

  • I will record all payments made for child care in a write receipt. Each family is responsible to keeping track of each receipt given.

  • I am required by law to notify Child Protective Services in the event of suspected abuse or neglect. If a parent comes to pick up their child and they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, I will refuse to release the child to them and the police will be notified immediately.

  • I assure you that I will give your child(ren) attention, affection and an educational environment in order for them to grow happy and healthy during the time that he/she is at my home daycare.

  • This policy is subject to a periodic review. Changes may occur at any time and parents will receive the revisions immediately and be required to sign and date any revisions promptly.

  • For the safety of the children I keep the daycare door locked when everyone is inside.
